Earlier this week, I blogged about Twitter’s birthday. In this post I wanted to provide some directional and operational support for getting a successful Twitter account started for your business.
Mashable has created a Twitter Guidebook, a resource full of multiple blog posts about the microblogging platform. The guidebooks walks you through the basics for creating and building a personal network as well as tips and tricks for business. Check out the guidebook to learn about tips for executives as well as other best practices.
Twitter has also published a Twitter 101 guide for business. The guide provides success stories from Dell, JetBlue and Tasti D Lite. The guide also provides a glossary so that you get caught up to speed on hashtags, RT, and lists.
This post from Chris Brogan is slightly older but still extremely relevant. Brogan offers 50 ideas for using Twitter for business. He offers ideas on how to get started, what to tweet about, and how to combat any negativity you may hears from those around you. Be sure to check it out.
Remember that Twitter can be an excellent tool for any content marketing strategy. It can also be used for recruiting support purposes.
