Building up from Bare Bones

December 9, 2009

Efficiency is very important to any business, especially in the US.

“In the Red Zone = Bottom of Recession”, a blog post by my colleague, Adam Marcus, gives me hope that moving forward, many (well-managed) companies will have all the right things put in place to really take off.

As much as operating in the “Red zone” is stressful, it does push people to their limits which shows a company just how valuable each individual is, who is a real contributor, where the most resources need to be focused, and essentially what should be eliminated. According to the above-mentioned post, companies are there.

So, when the economy does turn around, many companies will have “power” management teams in place, and hopefully know the best market segments to sell into, and what their sales and marketing economics should look like, thus creating a competitive advantage for themselves to survive.
